On the final Edit Case # / Id screen we have added a required field check to both the Case # / ID and Bar Code fields. You can still EDIT those fields but you won’t be able to leave them blank any more. Why anyone did is still a mystery but how this was occurring is no longer a curiosity or a creator of bad data. Crunch!
Since many actions on that screen do an auto save if any Case # / ID or Bar Code is missing you will see one of these two alert statements depending on the missing value.
These Alerts will appear if their respective value is missing where you might expect to see them; for instance the DONE button. However as the auto save function is required to preserve your data entry you will also see these alert statement if you click the Record push-in or try to edit a Warehouse Location or an InCase value with data missing.
Note: So why did the User remove a pre-populated value from a field and choose to leave it blank? Yet another of life’s little mysteries to rival, “why the chicken decided to cross the road”.
