Shortcut for Dummies. A new aid to navigation.

We all have our ways of working in the screens. This new “shortcut” suggestion came from one of our Administrators, who seemed to always find themselves in need of a quick way to access the list of a Company's Users after placing themselves on the Company edit screen by mistake.

Why you ask might you need such a “shortcut” when you could have just gone: Administration > Search Company > Select a Company > Users? Well… maybe because you absent mindedly went Administration > Search Company > Select a Company > Edit! (Repeatedly!)

Now some software companies would have just made fun of this poor User and the error of their ways. Dismissing the “shortcut” request out of hand, as something frivolous. That would be any software company who had not made the same mistake themselves, wishing for just such a shortcut button on more than one occasion. So we have added a new orange button on the Company Summary screen, VIEW USERS to our navigational aids. And a nifty one at that!

Why did I bother to blog this? Just in case you are one of “those” who don’t make this mistake on a regular basis and have never have felt the need or bothered to look up at the top of the Company Summary screen for just such an orange button. Wishing for that quick path to the Users list. Yeah…right.
