Progress but no cigar

Thanks for your patience today, as we tested the system in a live load environment.
We learned a bit.
The new software has a backward compatibility issue and it also seems to dislike Bar Codes.

So we have more work to do before it can be deployed into production. But we are working to improve the Print/Email issue.

Our issue is the number of reports that are being converted and the download time to individual user machines when they are large. Just like when you download any file fro the web there is a transfer time. You'll notice the actual report generation is not bad. But click Print/Email and the wait begins. First don't stop. While perhaps painful... waiting is best. Clicking again simply adds more conversation calls to the cue. Just the same as if you share a print center in your office, it is no different then waiting at the printer for your document when there is heavy traffic at the printer.

I know it is easier said than done...but save a tree when you can. The environment and our servers will both appreciate your thoughtfulness.

Note: For those of you facing your internal user crowd, Google up, Slow PDF conversion and you will see, this is a pretty wide spread issue. Not that having others struggle helps us in the least.
