A Go2Show Plus kind of User

Or... when is data that looks bad not really bad data?
No snickering from those who have been with us for more than 3 years.

Ok. We all know that there was a lot of effort invested in having the Users ,whose Primary Role is Go2Show have no access to e-Info itself, not appear in Create a Project drop downs but be available when you create a Go2Show Project using the Create a Go2Show Project menu service, from inside e-Info.

But! Did you know , that if you have a business case where you want all the above…except you would also like the User to be available to select as a Project Owner on the e-Info Create a Project screen you can? Well, neither did me, until yesterday. All you need do is access the User’s Summary Page and give them the checkbox, Project Owner.

You can even do this on the Create User sequence if you are foresighted enough to recognize the business case requirement in advance.

Or! If you just want to see me go nuts for 20 minutes, trying to figure out how that can be, cross checking data sets from three different sites, becoming more confused every minute….until you casually mention the fact that you made the User, with the Primary Role Go2Show, using the e-Info Create a User sequence not the Create a Go2Show User menu service that we so lovingly built…and by the way you elected to click the Project Owner checkbox. Well that’ll do it.

Tip: Keep coming up with clever ways to expand the functional support of the software to meet ever new business use challenges. Just be kind to the old calan employees and offer full disclosure from the start.
