On 5/27 I posted a blog on, “Missing / NOT Returned or NEW the Asset is UNAVIALABLE” an update to our asset management module.
In the article I mentioned that coming shortly would be a further upgrade, where the system would locate all future Projects using the missing Asset and send a task to the internal PO of the identified Project to alert them that an Asset(s) on their Project had been reported missing.
The PO of a downstream Project will receive a posting each time the Receiving list for the Project with a missing Asset is edited after the Final Flag has been checked. EXCEPT unfortunately for the last time where the missing Asset is marked returned. As the code uses an Asset in the status of Missing / Not Returned to trigger the issuance of the Task, once the Asset status is no longer Missing / NOT Returned no email will be issued.
