Damage Notes is now a value displayed on the Assets NOT Received by Project and All Assets NOT Received Report screens. While I am sure there will be additional occasions to make use of this upgrade this is the business reason behind the request to have it added.
An asset does not return from a Project. The Asset is placed in the status of Missing /NOT Returned. A very pro-active account manager gets their Receiving Report notification that this Asset is missing and contacts the Customer Project Owner. They are advised that a Field Rep. has taken the Asset for a presentation and will return it in a couple of weeks. The account manager places this information in the Damage Note field for the Asset. When either of these two reports is run the warehouse manager can see this update regarding the Asset’s disposition and won’t have to be concerned with running down the a status update on the Asset.
Note: If you don’t run the All Assets NOT Return Report at least once a week you are missing the system's intended safe guard for lost assets.
