New Shipping tool comes on-line

Sometimes less is more!

The current Shipping Workpage has a lot of information that was developed for a particular site’s business requirements. Over the past few months, other sites, with a desire for less Project related information and more “just shipment” information have communicated a desire for a simpler report. One that is grouped by TO & FROM shipments and is not broken up by so much Project related data surrounding the shipment.

Cliff has responded with Shipment Scheduling a new report with a more condensed view of the shipment activity. You’ll have to add the permission to any Roles who you might think would benefit by having this new tool. Likely anyone who currently is using the Shipping Work Page would appreciate this alternative view.

On both this report and the older Shipping Work Page we have introduced two new icons.

Replaces the old green checkmark to indicate you have completed scheduling the Shipment

Following both the Pickup Date & Delivery Date column this icon indicates the Date & Time are Targeted

We intentionally started with a few less options on the Quick Select screen. Let us know if your business needs require we add back some of those that are present on the Shipping Work Page’s Quick Select.

Note: The original Shipping Work Page is stilling functioning so you can elect to replace it with the new report for your Users or allow then to retain both.
