Notes aren’t always Notes.

So when Notes aren’t really Notes you inquire?

When Notes are really a Record file of course!

On the Edit a Case #/ID screen, at the Case #/ID level for an Asset, you can enter a “Record”. Typical use is tracking the Serial # of a piece of electronic gear stored in a specific case.

The Pick list had a Column heading named “Notes“which was really calling the “Record” value for the selected Case#/ID. That has been corrected as of today.

The Packing List had a Column heading “Notes” which was Push Pin Notes from the Manage Load/Packing List screens. That was remains the same.

Now the logic and the headings are in sync. When you are “Picking” a piece the report provides data that is presently stored for the Case # / ID. When you are packing the item on a Shipment the Packing report is hold information specific to the Case # / ID for that shipment.

Note: Sounds easy enough but it has been wrong for 5 years plus so don’t act so surprised.
