Blocked emails. Spoofing corporate email servers.

From time to time we get asked about emails getting blocked.
So I thought a post to the blog seemed in order.

To prevent having their email servers jacked many companies register those servers that are allowed to send emails with their user names & domains.

The emails issued from our servers are not on that list and so a user sending an email out of the system (like a Task) to another user inside their own company may have that email blocked.

When this occurs the company with the issue needs to have their IT, add our mail server to their trusted list.

Have them add the following server info depending on their internal systems.

Web Server IP addresses: < 209.114.130.201 > and < 209.114.130.202 >

Mail IP address : < 209.114.130.24 >
Or it is know by two server names.
Mail Server names : < mail.pbtg.com > and < email.pbtg.com >

PBTG is Pittsburgh Technology Group, our hosting firm, should anyone inquire.
