Asset Units with multiple Case#/ID

Adding additional cases to create a multiple case Asset.

When created, an Asset is assumed to be comprised of a single Case#/ID and one Case#/ID record is created for each Unit of the Asset. The system will however, allow the addition of multiple cases to each Unit of the Asset; so that when the Asset is Included in a Project, the Pick List will automatically indicate the total number of cases required to complete the Asset.

Prior to this update, you were allowed to Add a Case from two separate screens. Now you are restricted to a single screen in order to ensure that a complete record for the new Case#/ID is created.

Select/Manage Case#/ID screen:
Select this button and a new Case#/ID record is immediately inserted into each Unit of the Asset. You can click on any of the Bar Code links displayed to Edit the new Case #/ID.

Edit Case#/ID screen:
After you have edited a Case#/ID for an Asset you can continue to add another Case#/ID to that Asset by selecting the Select \ Back to Add Another Case button. You will be returned to the Select/Manage screen where you can use the Add Another Case button, to create additional Case#/ID for the Asset. You can continue in this fashion until all of the Case#/ID required to complete your Asset have been added.
