Yes.
You can change the Asset type of an existing Asset without having to delete and re-upload the Asset.
From Inventory:
View/Edit /Select > Choose Inventory > Choose Asset Type > Select Asset > Edit
Once on the Edit Asset screen click the Click here to change asset type link.
The Select Asset Type drop down will activate. Select a new Asset Type. Click Update Asset.
